We are on Vacation
It is getting warm and hot every day, so our summer vacation is near. In the time between 2nd and 16th of August we only will do emergency support. In this period we are on vacation and only have very very less internet connection. After the 16th of August, we will answer all IMs, Posts and Mails as soon as possible. NLS moved to a new Server & Description of the outageAfter my return from Argentina to Germany I logged in the first time today noon. After that I got the first error message from my own HUD and also the discussion in the NLS group starts. The today's outage was caused by DENIC. For some hours they lost nearly all informations about .de-Domains so the most .de Domains could not be resolved anymore. In the meantime the problem is solved, but it can take some while (a couple of hours) until the last nameserver in the world has correct informations again. To make the best about, I used that outage for the server change. Normally I want to do this change tomorrow, but now there was time. Everything is now moved to the new server and after everyone can reach NLS again, you all will use the new server. So tomorrow (13th of May) there will be no outage again caused by the server change. The new server has a lot more power and will take over from now on. |

April Update 2010This month really passes fast, I nearly missed the 15th. Caused by my little vacation, this update is not the biggest one, but I to a lot behind the sceenes to improve NLS and also I have done the first things for May. There are no really big news this month, the most updates are internal improvements and bugfixes. More you can read in the Release Notes. One little thing I want to tell you, all Wallet now know what a theft is. The new function is inactive right now, but all thefts pirates and other "longfingers" out there ... If there are no really big problems with it, you all can start in May. During the month I will do some changes in the background. A big wish is, to bring out cheese wheels and roasts that can give out single pieces. I will do that step by step and update your storage to the new things.Thats it for now, but I wish you all much fun with NLS |

NLS will change the server and Carney will be temporary not reachable
Server change
Cause of some trouble in the past and a getting worse and worse support of my hoster, I will change. This change is on going right now and also NLS have a date to change. I plan NLS for Thursday the 13th of May. Caused by the serverchange there can be a downtime for NLS inworld and also the webside. I saw in my statistics, that the less traffic is in the german morning hours. Therefor I plan my work for exactly those hours. If all run like I plan, the downtime will be about two minutes, but if anything went wrong, it would be longer. For all Outtages I ask you for your understanding. Please do as less as possible with NLS due this periode of time, there could be some datalost. Carney not reachable
It sounds very cool, but it will be a lot of work to do. I have to travel to Argentina from 2nd of May to 9th of May. In this periode of time I can not answer your IMs or Mail like now. You can of course send anything to me and I will do the work step by step after returning to Germany. For everything important, please contact Amania Romano. She will support you as good as possible or escalate important things to me so I can do it from Argentina. |

NLS 1 compability will end
Since the beginning of NLS version 2, we talk about it, some people fear it, but now it really comes ... NLS version 1 will be deactivated at 1st of August 2010! Please all of you, put your old things back into your NLS storage. Everything withing the NLS HUD Storage will be updated automatically, everything in your inventory or the inventory of an object will not get this update. Those objects will not work after the 1st of August anymore. You can see really easy if you have version 1 of an NLS good. If the name ob the object ends with "1.?" (per example "NLS Larma 1.2") it is the old version 1. The Masterservers will deliver after 1st of June everything in version 2. We will update product after product of everything. |
